no longer my baby

I cannot believe that Bennet is 15 months old! Yikes. Not so sure where the time went! And there's so much to share about my little man.....

Well, he started walking on October 2nd. We were in ND visiting everyone when he started walking back and forth a few steps between my mom and I. And ever since then he has been cruising. I guess he needs to in order to catch up with his older brother. He is learning how to run, but it's not quite controlled. For those who have or will be seeing him, you will notice all the bruises and marks on his adorable little face. Last week he had a fight with the sidewalk. The sidewalk was the winner.
He has all his molars, along with the top and bottom front four. The eye teeth are torturing him. They are so swollen and just hurt. At his appt we found out he had the on-set of an ear infection (2nd one ever for him) and a sinus infection. I knew something had to be going on since he hasn't been eating or sleeping well the past few days. Otherwise he out-eats most of us when it comes to food. He pretty much likes anything now. If he could, he would eat all day long.
At Bennet's appt, he weighed in just shy of 22lbs (yes, he's our little peanut). He's burning more calories that I can get in him. But he's just perfect in our eyes:) He's very solid for 22lbs too. He is 30.5 inches tall, and of course, to be one of us, he has to have a very large head. It's in the 84th percentile! Short with a big knoggen.
He points at everything, grunting in his little language at to what he wants or what he's trying to say to you. Loves to shout out dada all the time. When I ask (or pretty much demand) to say mama, he laughs and says dada. Such a little stinker. He also knows where the pantry/snacks are, so he will point and either grunt or say na. When he wants something to eat or drink, he clucks his tongue. It's quite funny. He is also now starting to say done, but it's more like dugh. Same with up. It sounds more like ugh, but loud.
He's very smart. He knows how to play the system. If Logan knocks him over or if Bennet falls by himself, he will whine and see if we are going to notice and punish Logan. We tell Bennet he's fine, brush it off, and he smiles/laughs. Bennet also has quite the little temper. If you say no, he either laughs and shakes his head no, or he has a complete temper-tantrum until you say enough. Then he stops and looks at you with these eyes that could say way more that he can express. I truly think he will be our cause to gray hair early in life. He knows what he wants and usually 99% of the time he wants it yesterday. However, with all these moments, they are rare. Bennet is the most ticklish, lovable, baby boy. He loves to give kisses and hugs. He is always smiling and laughing. He loves to play with his big brother, Logan, who most of the time loves to play with him. Logan has taught him how to drive and push monster trucks all over the house; throw balls; push him on their play Zebra (its hilarious to see a 15 month old push around a 3 1/2 year old). Logan is an excellent big brother and teacher. I know they will have so much fun growing up together.
