Youth Ice Fishing Tournament
A week ago the local youth ice fishing tournament went on. It is one of our new traditions. Logan started going two years ago when he was three. Came home with a trophy for catching the smallest fish (2 3/4"). They thought it was a minnow it was so tiny.
Last year the lake was so sloppy that we didn't go. We weren't sure if the ice was thick enough because of all the warm weather we were having.
This year, all four of us went. Bennet is old enough to go, and hopefully last the two and a half hours of being outside. We made sure to pack a lot of snacks as he is our eater when he's bored. Even though it was cold out, and we didn't bring any fish up, we had a lot of fun. It was great to be outside and ice fish. And to see all the kids out with their grown ups.
