Bennet has been growing like a weed. He continues to gain weight and develop a second chin into his neck. However, through all of this growing he is having a hard time with his reflux. He either has powerful projectile vomit, vomits multiple times, or has acid come up at all hours of the night. I feel so bad for him. We've tried me cutting out dairy products while I nurse, but that didn't seem to help out much either. We ran a trial over the weekend with formula and it got rid of all the projectile puking, but we still have him on meds to control things. So far it seems to be working, but he will still spit up and have gas every now and then. It's a big difference and a lot of change, but we're hoping that this will help things out for him. Its so hard to see him in pain.
But when Bennet isn't eating, sleeping, pooping, tooting or puking, he's bright-eyed and consuming everything around him. He has these deep blue eyes that are just fun to stare at. I hope he keeps them. Not only b/c they are so pretty, but b/c then we all would have different colored eyes in our house. Jeremy has brown; Logan has hazel; I have green and then Bennet would have blue. Fun, huh? He's also starting to "talk" when he's in a good mood. Jeremy's not so use to the high maintanance tones of B just yet, but I'm sure it will come around. He's quite vocal compared to Logan at this age--something we're not really use to.
As for Logan, he is such a great big brother. He will go up to Bennet and proudly say "hi brodder." He likes to help us out, especially with giving him his boppy or to "shush" him to be quiet. He's pretty proud of him. He tells everyone that all he does is "nuh-nite" or "die" (cry). Sad, but true. Someday Logan will want to return to these days when B is going after all of his toys or bugging him. Funny how that works.
Logan is also quite the talker. If Jeremy and I are trying to talk at the table, or just have a conversation at all, Logan is always interupting to get in a word. Or loves to listen and then talk in his own funny language and start laughing. He has become quite the character. I just love listening and watching him as he goes off in his own language b/c he's so excited to share something with us. He's doing a great job at talking and expressing himself, yet when he gets going....good luck at trying to completely understand him. But he's always amazing us. Just the other day he counted to ten all by himself. We've never really sat down and counted hardcore with him, so when he did this we were in shock. Now all we do is count...or spell...or randomly say letters in the alphabet. But no matter what we are talking about, it always ends with a "vroom vroom." Logan is way too obsessed with four wheelers, trucks and anything that will go fast. Such a boy.
Well, off to bed before I wake up again in an hour or so. Here is a recent picture of my two favorite little boys.
