Yesterday we traveled over to Lake Minnetonka for the entire afternoon, which meant little or no nap for Logan. Jeremy's co-worker was going to be celebrating his bday over there, so we thought we would make it an afternoon and let Logan go swimming in the lake.
It was nice out, but not the nice hot weather you would like to have when out in a lake. But Logan still managed to go in the water. At first he wasn't so sure, so Jeremy had to carry him in and distract him with all the big boats around us. He brought only his tennis ball to play catch in the water, so this was our only tool to get him out. After standing right at the edge of the lake for a long time, he got the courage to go out a little further. The water was pretty shallow for a long ways out, as you can see in the pix below. By the time we were ready to be done with swimming, Logan was able to sit in the water as well as go out further on his own w/o getting nervous or scared.
After drying off and changing, we headed over to the Wharf to eat and watch the HUGE boats come in. We couldn't believe how big some of these boats were. I bet you would have to take a class to drive one of those suckers. I'd be nervous about crashing into something or someone. They were pretty nice to watch though. After another hour of that we headed home. We were all pretty pooped from being outdoors all afternoon.
