Yesterday was his big birthday party. I was so nervous about the weather b/c they were projecting it to be icky and cold. However, the weather was sunny with clouds and a little cool, but no rain like today. It was a great day.
We had lots of great friends and family to share the special day. Logan was actually comprehending all of the chaos and managed to do well the entire time. There were a lot of people in a small space, so things got a little tight at times. Especially with the opening of the presents. There was paper, kids, presents and dog everywhere. Logan only got possessive when it came to the Thomas the Train presents, which he did very well on. Thank goodness we have a big tote to store all of the pieces! It's just more of a reason to move hopefully this fall!! We are officially out of space in this house and the 2nd one hasn't even arrived yet.
After stuffing our faces with food and opening up presents, we sang to Logan while he waited patiently to blow out the candles. This was probably my highlight of the day. He was so hilarious when we sang to him. He sat at the table with the cake in front of him, shyly looking at everyone. His face is priceless. Then when we were done, he blew out both candles easily! He laughed and clapped for himself for doing a great job. Logan then took a quick finger swipe of the cake before anyone else could get a piece. Typical.
Today we spent our day on the couch watching movies and playing with the new toys. I think we are all still trying to recover from yesterday. We also had to say goodbye to grandma and grandpa H, who had to head back to ND this morning after breakfast at Perkins. We can't wait to see them again soon!
I am still trying to get all the pictures downloaded, as well as the video of us singing to him, so bare with me and I will get them on as soon as I can.
