Papa's Polar Patch

This past Monday was a day full of craziness and fun. Logan and I were to spend the entire day with Kathy, Dawn, Drew and Mallory. We started out together at Barnes and Noble to have a coffee, and to let the kids play with the Thomas train set and pick out a book. I got my coffee, but missed out on the rest. Jeremy and I finally had our will finalized, so he picked me up to get that all done. It took the entire morning, so I then met up with the bunch at Space Aliens for lunch. It was soo packed that we had to wait almost an hour! But the kids have fun playing games while we waited. Logan wasn't fond of the large alien that came out to great everyone. Yeah, I don't blame him. It's a little on the freaky side.
After lunch we headed to Papa's Polar Patch. This place is the coolest place on the planet! In the fall they have it as "papa's pumpkin patch," where they have all these fun activities for kids to do and play with, as well as pick out any size of pumpkin you want. We never get to see the pumpkin patch b/c we are too far away and busy during that time of year. Well, this winter they thought they would turn this large farm area into a polar patch. They had ice skating, horse-drawn sleigh rides, make your own s'mores w/a campfire area, concessions area in a heated house, a hay-bale castle to climb in and on, slides coming out of a barn, and sled rides pulled by 4-wheelers!!! We had soo much fun on the sled ride. Drew kept saying "this is awesome," while Mallory and I just screamed and laughed. Poor Logan was sleeping when we arrived, so he didn't get to enjoy all of the fun rides. Drew and Mallory had more fun I think since they were dressed warmly--Dawn and I had more fun hanging out in the warming house. Just as we were ready to leave, Logan woke up and wanted to join us. So here are a few pictures of him in the wooden train and car, as well as a bunch of other pictures of the place. I wish we would have something like that here. I guess that's something we can look forward to visiting in the fall and winter when we head back to ND.
