Yep, if you didn't know, there is a giant in the sky. Logan's way of thinking just amazes me and continuously makes me laugh.
Last weekend we were over at the Cavanaugh's for Trevor's 3rd birthday party. Of course there was horrible weather on the prowl for that evening and it was just the boys and I at the party (Jer had a golf tourney for work--in the bad weather as well). When we got to their house it was dark in some areas; there were horrible storms producing hail and tornadoes just west and south of us, but they were traveling in our direction; and we weren't sure how bad things were going to get.
It stayed dark and windy for awhile; the sirens went off once; and then the terential downpours came. Along with the 70 mph wind. And the thunder. And the lightening. Thus 'the giant in the sky' was created. I'm not sure if Logan overheard someone, but when we were driving home, he told me many times that he does not like this giant nor the green sky he creates, or the turning on and off of the lights in the sky. I had to giggle inside because of all the seriousness he had when explaining this to me. As well as his imagination and rationalization of things. Gotta love 3 year olds.
ps. the next night we were up north and it happened to storm again. this time we told him that the giant was just bowling. not sure if he liked that story much, but it's worth a try. when the storm ended, we said that the giant went on a trip to both someone else. i think that helped a little.
